Author Insight: Dark Beacon, the first book in the London Calling series, was inspired by the lack of diversity I've encountered in literature. The world consists of more than naive virgins and quirky goth girls. As a reader, it's rare to discover a satisfying narrative of mixed-race characters or interracial couples. As an author, I aim to change that.
